Positive Disclosures

Positive Disclosures

Following changes introduced in 2013, the DBS now only issues a certificate to the applicant and not the requesting organisation.

Schools and other establishments using our online system will receive email notification that a check has been completed.

Strictly Education DBS customers can log into the client portal to monitor processed applications under the “Application Results Section”.

Where the result is not clear it will be essential for the school/organisation to have sight of the certificate (by the employee presenting this for viewing) in order to discuss the content with the individual and conduct a full and fair risk assessment.

Included in this topic collection is further information and resources on requesting sight of the certificate, conducting a risk assessment, and understanding the filtering rules that apply to certain old and minor cautions and convictions.
