Processing DBS Checks - all customers
Schools using the Strictly Education DBS checking service can access the online systems and detailed guidance for organisations and applicants on using the online system.
System updates
From 14 November 2024 when you submit an application the change will be as follows:
- Status will change to Pending Approval to allow a further review of your application by the team.
- If no errors are identified your application will be released to the DBS.
- If an error is identified the application will be rejected, the status will change to rejected and you will receive an email notification advising what the error is.
- To amend an error, you will need to reset the application, confirm workforce/barred list is correct, press save, and an email notification will be sent to the applicant. Contact the applicant directly to let them know what the error is so that they can amend, give consent, and resubmit the application to you for checking.
Please check the updated Employer Guidance and although this has not affected the latest Applicant Guidance we strongly advise that you always send out the Applicant Guidance when initiating a new application.
